only lock on things you need. don't purchase unnecessary things just because it's on offer.

I am planning to lock a handbag and a phone. But, I am not sure whether we will get instant discount after locking the sale price. In 2021, I locked shoes for ₹1, but it was not allowing me to get instant bank discount. Thus, had to cancel the order. Now, these lock prices are more and non-refundable, so not sure whether to take the risk or not. 

Any leads on the same would be highly appreciated.

If someone lock price at 99 and then pay full payment i.e 800-900 rest amt if item price is 899 or 999 then cancel it he shud received full amount refund in this way right ? @mayavi

BBD or any online sale for that matter was great till 2021-22 or earlier as you had real price cuts, reasonable exchange (Amazon didn't do any microscopic checks for scratches/dents etc in 2021) however last 2years especially this year the whole sale is just a eyewash where online retailers are trying to clear stock, until last year atleast you had some price reduction but now especially mobiles literally nothing. e.g. Samsung mobiles as Samsung themselves have announced temporary price cuts and then only FK announced the same in the evening

So if you are planning to buy anything during the sale, especially home appliances and mobiles best would be to check the respective brand's showroom and then offline retailers like Croma/Reliance Digital/known ones in your state and in worst case go for FK/Amazon as don't think there will be much price difference and you can avoid Open Box delivery headache (not sure if Amazon also do it now from this year?)

Also (my assumption) you can wait/delay your purchase as prices are always going to decrease/better products will come and only for food and medicines you have to get it then and there as per your requirements and don't comprise on quality by going for less costly/unknown brands where rest all things can wait until they die/RIP 😃

I heard that this price lock feature is a nice trick of a scam 

the people who price locks it mostly never buy all the price locked stuffs, and these price locked money is for flipkart lol even if you dont buy it, they wont refund it:)

so price lock only if you really need it, and finally wish it will be on stock to get or else price lock is no use as well, if its out of stock (as far as i know, correct me if i am wrong)

Final note: just pray that flipkart gives what it shows as offers lol

One question if I didn't lock the deal then ? How much cost for me ?

2 years back prebook was loot/steal to core ... hope for the same this time .
