Hello, Dimers

My friend came to Bangalore for the first time for his treatment and he needs some help in pre-booking an affordable and reliable cab/taxi for an airport drop. He’ll be heading to the airport on Monday night (9th September) and needs to leave between 11:30 P.M and 12:30 A.M. (Tuesday early morning).

I know there are multiple options available, like Uber Reserve, NoBrokerHood taxi service, BluSmart, MakeMyTrip, etc., but I don’t have any personal experience with these services in terms of pricing or reliability (whether they actually show up after booking in advance).

Bengaluru Dimers, could you please share your suggestions?

Thank you for your time and inputs

+ @Saadhav @JNR4U @MONISH_RAI @santosh_blr, @dgreatgambler007  @ontherocks @budweiser, your suggestions, please.

The default option to travel to the airport (at any hour) is Ola or Uber. Just book one when he needs to travel. Depending on the time of the day, he better factor 2 hours of travel time (esp during peak hours) + additional reporting time. At 11pm, it would hardly take an hour, unless there is some exceptional problem along the route (heavy rains etc).

Bluesmart is a reliable option as well. He can book his cab with them.

If he has light luggage, he can take the KIA shuttle / bus service by BMTC.  These buses cover the entire city & operate 24x7 (with some exceptions).  This is a reliable, economical option to reach the airport. He needs to find out his nearest point to board the bus. Or can travel to nearest terminus or starting point of these buses.  If you tell where he is located (area/hotel etc), can help guide him / you to the nearest stop to board the bus. DM the location & I will reply back.

Used MMT yesterday. The service is good and on time mostly.

But Vayuvajra is the cheapest option if it works for him.

BluSmart is Premium and Reliable.

Way better than Ola/Uber and other taxi services

Just pre-book a Uber

you are living in Bangalore you get Uber every 5 min or so

pricing is what you see in the Uber app almost everyone charges the same so no need to look around.

just make sure you Uber to the right terminal number (check your ticket)

MMT's cab service, right?

On time pick-up and drop?

Did you apply any discount codes?

Quickride is also a good option. The cabs are clean and drivers are nice. Dm me for referral.

Used Deepam taxi (private operator) couple of times to and from the airport. They are cheap and value for money.
PS: After booking, get the drivers details asap and get a confirmation from him.
