I have axis salary account.

Still I am being charged for Debit Card (236 rs.) and SMS (17.7 rs. / Quarter).

How I can get rid of these charges.

I have axis liberty debit card.

Account code: SAPPR ( Not sure)

If I will call customer care and get my debit card hotlisted, will it have any negative impact? I still want to use Axis app & UPI. Do they allow UPI Pin reset through Aadhar? Also, I hope that once I get my current debit card hotlisted, they will not automatically issue a new debit card.

Right now getting SMS / E-mail for even credit transaction. Will it stop once I ask Customer care to stop SMS service.

I am already paying ATM charges for other banks as well, and don't want to just pile up annual and quarterly charges.

Kindly share tips/tricks to minimize charge

I had hotlisted my debit card literally 3-4 years ago just to avoid the annual charges and while I was able to perform UPI transactions on apps where I had already linked my Axis account, I couldn't add it in any new app since it doesn't allow Aadhar authentication as well.

But couple of months ago, I randomly visited the mobile app, went to the debit card section and applied for a new one. Axis Liberty DC was available to me at 0 cost since mine too was the salary account with code SAPPR. Banks usually don't charge for the DC in salary accounts, they always have one particular variant which is LTF. Check the app to see if you can find anything, and don't worry, they won't issue a new one unless you request it.
