No, only card swipe is allowed. Further, please note, axis is not genuine as much as other banks, sometimes it may delay a lot to credit rewards points. You have to accumulate atleast 10k points to get a better value of rewards, like Flipkart Amazon GV.

Axis Bank is one of the few fuel card banks that offers cashback on fuel transactions through UPI.
It always used to work with UPI too, and I was never charged the Fuel Surcharge too (on UPI transactions). But that changed when they changed their t&c on April 20.
The max amount of fuel which can be bought at discounted rate is ₹5,000 which is good enough in my opinion. Also, this card effectively gives 1% on every other UPI transaction which makes it a good choice.
But the 7x increased annual fee waiver criteria is really a deal breaker, I too will be going to deactivate mine after a few months, before the new annual cycle starts. And yes, their rewards system has been messed up since April 20 and I'm still waiting for rewards for fuel transactions since May now.

Minimum payment is Rs400 and max Rs4000 to get 4% fuel cb through UPI or Card payment.
You paid Rs300 amount fuel, so 10+GST surcharges charged.
