The Axis Bank Cashback Credit Card offers a variety of rewards and benefits, designed to maximize your savings on everyday expenses.
Key Features:
- Fees: Joining fee of ₹1,000 + GST and an annual fee of ₹1,000 + GST (waived if annual spends exceed ₹4 lakhs).
- Welcome Benefit: 5,000 EDGE Reward Points (worth ₹1,000) on the first transaction within 30 days of card issuance.
- Cashback Structure:
- 0.75% on offline transactions and travel spends.
- 2% on online spends up to ₹5,000.
- 5% on online spends between ₹5,001 and ₹40,000.
- 7% on online spends above ₹40,000.
- Total monthly cashback capped at ₹4,000.
- 0.5% on utility transactions, capped at ₹100 per statement.

This is mainly launched as replacement for the present Citi Cashback card holders. Once migration is complete, they will devalue it.

In other words, Rs 70,714 needs to be spend online to reach Rs 4,000 cashback through axis cashback card, while for the same Rs 70,714.. SBI cashback card will give Rs 3,536... so maximum a loss of Rs 464 per month.. while in turn Axis might remove numerous merchants from online cashback category/ devalue in few months/ no proper customer care to respond if haven't received any cashback.. so SBI seems a winner here with a higher monthly capping of Rs 5,000 Cashback.
People having both the cards, can utilise Axis first and once reaching Rs 4,000 capping of cashback, can start utilising SBI CB card!

because SBI cashback is free to use in all online stores not restriced to just amazon and flipkart and there is lot of tricks to get that 5%:)
most of the people have 2nd basic SBI card (like simplysave or simplyclick) for that 10% so it wont bother:)

sbi cb still looks better, afraid with axis random exclusion list.
This card has an overall reward rate of around 5.8% on meeting spends criteria.
1) online spends upto 40k, SBI CB will give 2k CB and Axis CB will give 1850CB (SBI wins by 150Rs)
2) online spends upto 70,714, SBI CB will give 3535 CB and Axis CB will give 4k CB (Axis wins by 465Rs)
3) online spends upto 1L, SBI CB will give 5k CB and Axis CB will give 4k CB (SBI wins by 1000Rs)
this is a trapping card:) not worth it because many wont spend 40k a month lol
try to get SBI cashback and not this soon to be devalued axis card xD
