Axis axis: is it mandatory to have Airtel connection, thinking of porting??

Already have Airtel axis card, Is it mandatory to have Airtel connection for Airtel axis credit card?? I want to port to jio and keep it active without recharge. They won't close the card if I port out? I also have broadband connection.

Please help.

They dont close the card. There is no condition that you should have any airtel connection.

Not required. I got the card with Airtel number, later ported to Jio number. Card is working fine will date without any issues.
