AXIS-ASAP ZERO BALANCE SAVINGS ACCOUNT HAS BEEN CLOSED NOW.

same happened with me.  Due to flexi fixed deposits, I got upgraded to liberty.  Now when i asked them to revert back they say its not possible. options: Maintain min. balance  Or  shift to lower varient with MAB of 10K   OR  close account. 

As i have given this account no. to many MF, Other bank FDs, etc.  its hard for me to close A/c.  Feels now, I have been trapped. 

Did you get any communication when they changed your account variant? I too have an Axis ASAP account, but can't verify if my variant has been changed or not as I have more than 12K in the account. 

@sarora Axis BASIC SAVINGS ACCOUNT, you will get Axis RuPay Platinum debit card too.

Whenever I see any talks related to Axis, I have this only few words: "Axis is a shit"

Unfortunately, my employer has chosen axis bank as salary account and I have to bear it all.

Same happened with me. I had an Axis ASAP account since 2018, but without any notice, it was changed to a minimum balance account requiring 12k. Customer care was unhelpful & useless, they insisting I have to maintain this balance. So I visited the branch, they were also not helping me and denied I ever had a zero balance account. So I had to raised voice and spoke directly with the branch manager, who listened and helped me converted my account back to a basics zero balance account and reversed the charges too. However, the new basic savings account has a criteria which is you cannot cross maximum balance of 50k; exceeding this will automatically convert it back to the 12k minimum balance account. Moral of the Story never rely on Axis. Axis bank is the most third class bank i have ever experienced. They can do anything. There policies are shit. They don't care customers problem.
