Axis Ace one more restriction

We hope that you are enjoying the many benefits of your ACE Credit Card. While you continue to make the most of your card, we would like to update you regarding a change to the product features on your Credit Card, with effect from 1st September 2023:
Payments made towards government services shall not be eligible for cashback.

Does electricity and gas booking comes under government services?
So no more 2% on NPS / Advance taxes on Axis Ace. Final nail in the coffin.

Not at all surprising. I was expecting this to happen before 31-Jul.
1. Exclusion of payments made towards Government Services from cashback eligibility:
• Payments made towards government services (MCCs - 9399) will not be eligible for cashback
• Cashback shall not be eligible on fuel spends, EMI transactions, purchases converted to EMI post
facto, wallet loading transactions, cash advances, rental payment, purchase of gold/jewellery items,
insurance premium payments, payment of outstanding balances, payment of card fees and other
card charges
• The following MCCs have been excluded from cashback eligibility: 5541, 5542, 5944, 5983, 6011,
6012, 6051, 6300, 6381, 5960, 6513, 6540, 8299, 8211, 8241, 8244, 8249

They mentioned all exluded categories once again but forgot to mention 'Educational services'

50k insurance payment is there.does axis ace give cb for this?
