Axis Ace card via Google pay - is it worth?

If anyone asked me what card would I like to have if I was allowed only one then it would be this one. Not Infinia or Millennia or SBI Cashback.

The 2% unlimited cashback online/offline is unbeatable. No other card comes close. Yes, the premium cards have a flat 3.33% reward rate but that is in the form of points and not cashback. Points do not equal cashback.

Plus the 5% OFF on recharges/bills and 4% OFF on Ola, Swiggy and Zomato up to Rs 500/month combined is a deal. That's Rs 10k of recharges/bills or Rs 12.5k of Ola, Swiggy, Zomato spends or a combination of both (for example - Rs 5k here, Rs 6.25k there). There are also 4 lounge accesses in Metro airports per year. Tier-2 airports are out of scope.

Location can be a problem. My friends in Goa can't apply for it because none of the Goan pincodes are servicable. I have read posts that Axis will do address verification via at least one document (Aadhar, Passport); so better not to try any tricks there.

• Movie Buff Perk: For my movie-loving side, the RBL Movies and More (PLAY) Card comes in handy. With a monthly spend of ₹5,000, I score 2 free BMS movie tickets!

Cashback Reigns Supreme: I prioritize cashback over reward points for their straightforward value. Plus, clearing my credit card bills through the HDFC Bill Pay section nets me an additional 1% cashback, further sweetening the deal.
