Few months ago an incident happend. I was waiting for the train and one boy came to me and asked me about a train that if it arrived or not. He told his brother is coming on that train and he is here to recieve him. After that he started talking with me and was asking about myself, where I live, what I do and also shared details about himself. He told he is a student and live in a hostel near my area. I was just talking with him normally. When my train announced and I was about to go, he asked me for my phone number. I told him to give his number and I'll contact him later. He gave his number and then I deleted it.
After few days one of my colleague also told that she had the same experience in the railway station. She didn't shared her number.
Few days ago, I was sitting in train near window and another boy came to me and was talking with me in same manner. He asked me about myself, but I shared all details fake. At the end when train was about to leave he asked for my number, but I told him to send friend request on FB as he will not be able to find me with that fake name.
Now my question is, is this any kind of scam? Are all them connected? What is their intension. What will they do with my number? Or they are just some innocent people just trying to be overfriendly? Please share if you know anything about this or if you are also among these scammers...

only way to find is buy new sim, create social media accounts, book same journey, on same train, same seat, same time, same day of week, wear same clothes, put on same cologne. it's very unlikely u will encounter the same guy, be prepared to make atleast ten such journeys. meet atleast 3 such scums. carry a notepad, note all your findings, better vlog everything. your effort could uncover the biggest scam in the history. this will be your gift to your country and fellow country men

Thing like that happens with me prayagraj station 20 days ago I was changing plateform in foot bridge 1 boy came he tell he is from jharkhand come for job dv but sort of money he need some cash of 100-500 please help me (money needed in govt office as fee) I will return when I reach at village i told you can call your village he will give me money on UPI I will gave him cash or else own UPI he said I am not using UPI how strange I am little but puzzle due to heat so I rejected to help

Wow you experienced this more than once. If it is the same manner/pattern they were talking to you or your friend, it is time to be cautious, it may be a part of larger gang of scammers.
Good thing you told all fake details.
First of all avoid talking to anyone unknown. World is very fishy now a days, your helping hand can lead you to trouble.
Railway Stations also need Airport like secuirty. Everyone who enters the platform should be identified through their aadhar/biometric. But this is long process. Railway is Huge. Also jab tak kuchh bade kand nhi ho jate tab tak ye implement hone se rha.

When collected first guys number, why did you delete? I generally save railtemp1,2,3 etc as and when i take their numbers. If i have to share mine i will share one of railtemp with other.
You are connecting ppl. Scamsters sharing their own numbers among themselves. Nice right?
Used to do same with ppl at malls, approaching us by saying credit card or fill form gift kind of small scams also.
I have almost 1000 temp number contacts and my main are hardly 10 or 15.
One smart guy at mall tried to call me after i shared a random temp numbers and it rang very near by. The number owner is a few yards away selling sbi credit cards.
He gave me weird look like we are doing this for a few bucks, but you look like real scammer 😉
