For a VodaIdea number on which the (₹479) 56 days pack is getting over on Friday, May 31, 2024
AmazonIN have sent a 'payment reminder' e-mail (from: [email protected]) even though nobody except VI, the previous operator (from where number was ported out on April 03, 2024), the retailer/shopkeeper and the customer themselves are aware of the porting and recent migration to VI.
The (almost like) relative (person from native place) had ported into VI (from Airtel or Jio) around April 03, 2024.
The shopkeeper (or rather VI) gave the ₹479 pack for ₹149 or ₹199 (I am.unsure).
May be previously the person/ (just like) relative may have recharged the number via Amazon, 𝐰𝐡𝐞𝐧 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐧𝐮𝐦𝐛𝐞𝐫 𝐰𝐚𝐬 𝐧𝐨𝐭 𝐰𝐢𝐭𝐡 𝐯𝐨𝐝𝐚𝐟𝐨𝐧𝐞 𝐢𝐝𝐞𝐚. Or it is possible that even back then he never used AmazonIN to recharge that number, I do not know for sure.
💾hundred percent sure that no e-mail address, alternate number shared with VI, in the past 56 days.🖥️
How then Amazon is sending the intimation, on his main AmazonIN e-mail/ account and came to know that the number has migrated to VI now and that the pack is getting over on Friday, May 31, 2024?
No mobile applications of Amazon or Voda or Airtel/ Jio ever used. In-fact even the SIM card has been inserted in a keypad (basic) phone of his senior citizen relative.
VI does not know his AmazonIN e-mail address or ANY e-mail address for that connection.
And AmazonIN was never made aware by the customer that number is ported to VI.
Retailer said he topped up the 479 pack from the VI app on his phone, using UPI.
Maybe in 2023 or earlier the number NnNnNnNnNn was with Voda and at that time the e-mail might have been given. But since then, number ported to two other operators and now in April 2024.. ported to VI.
Acquaintance is 100% sure and three other people have checked that AmazonIN account. It has not even been logged into since February 2024 and there currently is no 📱RMN📲 on that AmazonIN account, since eight months.

Don't know about the recharge date etc but there's a new protocol or something that can verify the operator before recharge and can find which one is it currently.

Maybe you would have already enrolled once in long past and forgot, and once enrolled amazon will keep sending reminders for it

Its not surprising to know that. None of the info we share online is safe. That's the assumed risk we always take when we sign up on any website in the internet.

No. They won't release it to Amazon because by doing so they lose the profit of recharges or bill payments from their own portal. They aren't so foolish to let Amazon gain the profit. It's as simple as that.
