I gave my drivers license while signing up for amazon pay wallet.
Say i get 10,000 credited to my wallet from a stranger, and spend it and repeat this every month, does this get reported to Income Tax by Amazon ? I will have no proof of income for this 10,000 per month
Only if PAN is given then its possible to track other wise kinda impossible at this moment of time with the tech the Income Tax dept uses
Also at this moment 'Not sure' if Wallet UPI is tracked even with PAN
maybe soon amazon will report thats why they stopped clubbing gift card and other payment modes i think to be safe on their auditing side

But I don't think Amazon is reporting transaction yet to the govt..Atleast it does not come up in AIS report ..I have given PAN..

soon they will start tracking every rupee as govt had already planned but not implemented in your AIS i.e.your Amazon quiz wins etc as you are required to pay 30% tax on lotteries/competition/cashback wins etc.. seeing how much the government has deployed their ways to get money from people via taxes, I guess now many get motivated to start a party and form the government one day as you will get easily lakhs of crores via taxes every month which you can use to fund your party and don't need to depend on big shots like Ambani/Adani during elections for funding 😄
Someone hacked my Amazon account 1 year earlier because I accidentally installed an apk on my device. When I opened that app some unusual messages and OTP came on my phone. After 2-3 minutes I saw that my Amazon balance is zero.
