Amazon Pay app auto-installed on my phone.
This app is different than Amazon.
If you uninstall it, Amazon app.also gets uninstalled.
While, it can be of use, What I am concerned with is, there are no permissions on my phone that I am aware which allows such installation without my knowledge.

Looks like this is forced shortcut from Amazon, no way to just get rid of the shortcut but continue using Amazon

Yes I cleared data uninstalled app and reinstalled it.

Just clear data of amazon app and then uninstall it.
