I got back to back two OTP sms for a transaction on my credit card. Surprisingly, I didn't get a call from the scammer to obtain my OTP, this had me more worried. What if they already got the otp from email or I don't know how. Only today I was using Microsoft app to connect phone to laptop in windows 11 so I was more worried.
I logged into the card app, luckily no transaction has happened. Wile the international transactions I always keep off, I turned off the domestic transactions as well.
I suspect somebody has stolen my credit card number, expiry and CVV. Not sure how. I only do online transactions, zero offline exposure. I hv ensured that I have physical possession of the card, its not stolen/lost.
What's the best way to deal with it.
How can this happen to me.

Always set per txn limit on your card so any big txn fails in case of fraud. Also check if you have installed any suspicious app. Although it may be a Fraud attempt but i will suggest you to also check if you saved your card on someone's account, may be your family member and by mistake they chose your card for payment, triggering OTP from your bank.
don't worry nobody can scam you unless they get the otps. in this one case we are ahead of western banking system
Long back i used to get aadhar otps out of no where! Altough nothing happened but still I have no clue why it came!
ICICI CCs are having issues i heard. International transactions are still happening even when International transactions are turned off through app and bank is not taking any responsibility if that happens.
get a replacement card if you need to feel safe and peacefulness in mind:) -> every time do this once this otp scam started happening
Which card was it? If it was Amex, I might be at fault. I accidentally entered my card number incorrectly—twice—at Gyftr today, and surprisingly, the transaction went through to the confirmation page. I only realized my mistake when I didn’t receive the OTP.
PS: I remember most of my card numbers and I just interchanged center two numbers but was surprised, as generally I get invalid card number, in case of errors!
Keep it Locked,

Unlock it only when you need to make a Transaction. And again lock it instantly.
