For last few years, I am suffering from allergic sneezes mainly during rainy season and autumn. Every day I am forced to take Monteklukast and Levocetrizine tablets. Any solutions which I can go to solve this issue? Without medicines, I will keep on sneezing with running nose and eye irritation. Please help.

Medical issues are better discussed with a doctor than on an online forum.

I also have a similar problem. But regardless of the weather, whenever there are spicy smells or smokes I get a burning nose. After that there is a runny nose and non-stop sneezing.

Medicines I used:

1) Rhicet-M

2) Metaspray Nasal Spray

But I got only relief through medicines. No matter how long it is used, it was not completely cured.

After that I completely changed my diet. I identified foods that were not suitable for my body and avoided them completely. and I stopped taking junk foods and started taking only nutritious foods.

I made a habit of walking in outdoor (mostly in sunlight) for at least an hour every day. also doing breathing exercises while walking.

After a while, the need to use medicines was reduced. Now at present I use medicines only once/twice a month. now i am able to tolerate the spicy smells and smokes most of the times.

Same here, I followed Allopathic medicines for 10 days but to no relief. Now switched to Homoepathic+Biochemic medicines, feeling some relief.

Which modern meds had you used if you don't mind? I switched to Fexofenadine from Levocetirizine a few months ago for my perennial allergies ( not Allergic Rhinitis ) with a multitude of triggers including foods and it's been a blissful experience barring the few kgs of weight gain (unrelated to the meds of course).

Go to an ENT doctor, they would suggest an allergy test which is costly but I think it is worth it. It will help you exactly identify the allergens.

Most of the time it is not something that can be treated completely (my case). You can just avoid stuff that causes the issues and take medication to reduce the affects. Tests would help you identify the exact causes which makes it a little easier to avoid stuff.

I generally mask up during seasons I expect it to happen.

Same here.

After COVID it was little high, now go under control not taking levocet or monte*

Still get the sneezes when it rains after a very dry climate.

Doctors advice was to avoid what causes it, old dust items, spicy smells and it work.

There was a accumulation of old dust below the cot and other furniture, got it cleaned every now and then.

The drugs you are taking is also effective in my case. But they makes you sleepy and ruins your day.

But a better management will be to  stay  away from allergic environment and improve your resistance

This may not be the case with all. But in my case staying away from dust, fumes(for eg incense sticks, perfumes etc)

has shown improvement. Stays away from cold food items. If there is a craving for cold stuff like ice cream drink hot water immediately after.

Next not to promote alternate medicine ,but, homeopathic system can almost cure you if you are not in extreme symptoms.

But make sure that you approach only a qualified experienced doctor. In my personal experience long term management is

possible with proper homeopathic medicine

True

you can take fexofenadine(or/+montelukast) as @limbo rightly switched ] as levocetirizine has side effects as u described.

P.S: there is no cure , it's just like cancer which is not lethal.

avoid montelukast, it has serious implication on mental health

Bryonia 30CH contains the active ingredient bryonin, a lethal toxin. Good thing that homeopathic formulations are usually so extremely diluted that there's no trace of the original ingredient whatsoever. "The greatest dilution reasonably likely to contain at least one molecule of the original substance is around 12C."

P.S. Homeopathic and even Ayurvedic formulations often use animal parts.

Consult ENT or Pulmonologist. They will give a mild steroid nasal spray or inhaler. That might help you.

This was a good forum read. OP I hope you have found these helpful and sometimes even dust under furniture/hidden spots or fungi/similar inside homes causes a lot of people who are born with allergy.

Make sure to clean everything once a week.

Such helpful responses from everyone here. Thanks for sharing your views. Based on the feedback, I switched to Allegra. Taking half a tablet only at dinner time. So far so good.

It's been a good discussion to see. I've had these allergies for years. For some cases, Flixonase nasal spray can help reduce symptoms. Recommended by my doc for 1-2 puffs per nostril every morning (or SOS when required). Lately I've been using only on SOS need basis and not daily.

My allergies used to cause me to sneeze several times continuously uncontrollably starting in the morning, then at random times. Like 15-20 at one go, yours don't sound as serious yet.

So, Please consult your doctor before taking this as it likely contains steroids.
Good luck getting better plus1🏻

After numerous tests and medications, the only solution to my problem was Viswasa Sudhrana.

It is readily available in both online and offline pharmacies. Just take a little less than a tablespoon after food.

In my case, I saw results in just 2-3 days. I finished the bottle 2 months ago and haven't had any issues since then.

I would suggest you try it for 3-4 days. If it doesn't help, stop taking it.

P.S I used to take Montelukast on a daily basis, but I haven't taken one in 2 months. YAY!!

Hope you guys get better, Good Luck.

can anyone please share their experience of how Allergic Rhinitis is diagnosed?

Meet Pulmonologist. If not available , meet ENT. They may recommend a low dose steroid inhaler, nasal spray etc.
