Airtel raises tariffs by 20–25% for prepaid users

Poor Airtel but yeah shame on them for this increase which most likely will come in to effect. Their biz actually went on pretty well even during the pandemic lockdowns. Other providers will follow suit as well.

So much money goes to so called ‘spectrum auction’. All for proper burping for whom it goes to lol. Also, 5G tech is a pathetic joke in our nation gg

Currently I am on 598 plan with a month of validity left…so I would be able to do (or queue) two recharges of 365 days plan one after another?…. TIA

I think this is how it works:
1. Unlimited plans can be stacked: e.g. 598 or 2498 plans can be scheduled to activate in future
2. Limited plans cannot be stacked: e.g. 379 plan
Let me know if anyone has evidence otherwise

1498 plan can be queued?

Just done this-

1) My old pack 379
2) Airtel says do the recharge for same pack for validity extension so did 379 form Airtel Money – validity extended
3) Using the same payment for second recharge (Airtel Money) failed so tried another credit card and recharge of second recharge of 379 worked
4) Again did the 379 recharge with different credit card and it worked like a charm
5) Again used my same credit card used for second recharge and it worked again for 4th recharge and validity extended.

As per the SMS received from Airtel “xxxxx Recharge again with the same pack & save 20%, Your validity gets added for max 730 days by doing mutiple recharges”

So going to do recharges again tomorrow until the validity is extended to 730 days or less.

Speed of airtel 4 g and indoor coverage increased multifold today on my mobile today. 😂

Now talk about recharge offers or cashback, in my view pockets is max 50 rs and payzapp is also max 50 rs.

Airtel isn’t mad, rates sbke badenge.

Airtel app is updated with recharge plans mentioning 20% savings before 26 Nov. Also, some plans mention that validity starts post current plan expiry. Eg. 1498 says just 20% saving(can’t stack), but 2498 plan says validity starts post current plan expiry (ie stacked)

I have 379 pack now with 69 days left to expire. When i click on 2498 plan, it shows that it will activate after current pack expiry but it is not showing the same foe 379 and 1498 packs. Can i go and recharge with 2498?

I stacked 2498 on top of 598. It’s working.

For my parents, I usually recharge 1 year plan (1498/2498) because I keep forgetting and finally main balance gets eaten witch 5 few days of expiry.

But, because of this hike, doing 1 year makes sense.

In my opinion, 1 year plan was very beneficial even before price hike. The only reason I avoided for myself to keep it flexible.

Otherwise, even after Airtel cashback of 40 for 598 plan, it is costlier than yearly pack of 2498.
