I have shifted to airtel payments bank after paytm bank started not working , now today got the sms that your 60 rs charger has been cut from bank as sms charges so came to know about it and it is capped at 100 rs but still to much only 10 transactional messages are free and i use upi only nowadays no cash. now i have to shift this account to other one can anyone suggest me some bank which does not have these transaction charges (also user has choice to stop these transactional sms but i have to keep them on often because of payments fail and refund related alerts)

Airtel customer care 8800688006, ask them to opt out for sms alert

That seems to only take effect in the next quarter instead of being disabled immediately. Bloody Airtel.

While I use Airtel PB too, I am aware of the SMS charges. So, I kept the SMS usage to the bare minimum.

I'd recommend switching to UPI lite for small value transactions. Or PPI wallets such as Amazon Pay Wallet, PhonePe, or Slice for transactions more than Rs.500. SMS is free with walles for now.
