Airtel Fibre new plans from 07 September 2020

It’s really hard to cancel Airtel broadband. CC keeps piling up offers to get you to stay with them. I didn’t pay bill for 2 months to get their attention and then only cancelled their services when I told I’ll never pay. Also, the speeds are limited to your location. You may pay 1499, but get only 100mbps speed. I’d never go with Airtel again even if they give for free.

there are no local providers at my area , only bsnl and some tikona , among them airtel has emerged as best service provider for years …
but using copper wire and speed of 100 mbps in fup for plans of 799 , since there are no local competitors , there is monopoly of airtel to cap fup data 263 GB

Is there any possibility that ACT fibre will also announce reduction in their plans?

Waiting for ACT to follow the suit.

Airtel people came twice to my house trying to convince switching from my current broadband connection.

what about the existing customers?

They have mentioned as any TV as smart TV whether CRT TV can be converted in to smart tv

any airtel braodband existing customer knows how to get free ott subscription with 999 plan,do we need to simply go to airtel thanks app and buy xtreme box in 1500(refundable),will that be sufficient to avail new plan?

just checked airtel thanks rewards they are showing ₹1500 for airtel xtream box

I have 2 airtel connections for home & office. One is in 599 plan with 150 discount. Another one is 499. They used to give 200-300 discount if we rise disconnection request. Now they dont care about disconnection. Previously used jio fibre free for 1 year. Now which is better airtel or jio?

Is it mandatory to give 1500 for xstream box?

In 499 plan there is no free xtreambox. It is in 1499plan. So if u want 499 plan then u have to pay 1000 installation charges and 1 month plan 499 in advance . So with 18% gst, it will be 1770(i.e. 1500+18% gst). And there is no option to avoid installation cost by paying 3 month in advance

In 799 and above plan, there is an option to avoid 1000 installation by paying 3 month in advance.

in airtel xtream you have to recharge for dth also for using the other ott benefits

So far no option of 499 in airtel thanks app.

Congratulations to those who can get this. Airtel is very stable connection. Wish they provided their service beyond the tier 1 cities and even in that only in the tier 1 zones.

Although I am not Airtel BB customer I use Airtel Xtreme box.

1. One remote to control DTH and OTT
2. Box can play 4K content
3. Its an Android box and support casting as well as installing more apps
4. Has google assistance (speak through remote)- Just say some movie name & it will itself pick it from any of the OTT app & start playing.

1. The cast does work but there is always a lag between video & audio.
2. If the box keeps running for long even the OTT apps show lag between video & Audio. Need to restart the box to fix the issue.
3. Restarting the box almost takes 3-5 minutes everytime.
4. Monthly recharge is mandatory for OTT to work.
5. Sometimes the box crashes by itself & restarts. Earlier it was quite frequent but recently there has been a software update after which it is quite stable.

Overall Amazon Firestick is much better then this box.

How did your manage to talk to cc. I am paying 999 for max speed of 40 mbps

I have airtel 799 plan for 40 Mbps unlimited… I am going to recharge section and it’s showing me same prices..

How to avoid installation charges for 499 plan?? Anybody availed?

as airtel is newly introduced in my city….they have given unlimited 40 mbps for 799/-
now i can change it???

those who are changing plans to 499 one…what is happening to their existing balance????

do next next and see the amount payable will be after reducing the balance left…..
