AC turning on and switching off by itself in 5 seconds?

Has anyone experienced this? The ac is almost a decade old but the servicing was done few months ago.

Is indoor fan running ?
Had similar problems with lloyds non inverter ac, outdoor unit would start and shutdown within 2-3 seconds but indoor fan is running. Needed to replace capacitor of outdoor unit.
Price is around 400-500 for capacitor but lloyds/havells technician looted 1500, saying need to get original replacement from office which cost 1000 + 500 service charge

Might be stabilizer issue....I've had the similar issue...try replacing it and check...

(Unless I am mistaken, you similarly used a window AC for ages. That O'general too has been through a lot, so maybe some heads-up.)

Get the capacitor checked , probably this could be the issue
