Same issue with A34
If he use two sim in phone it doesn't connect to 5g
Single sim working fine
My 6 months old samsung m34 fails to consistently get 5G jio signals even after setting 5G in mobile networks settings. Initially i thought may be signals were poor. However 3 months back i bought iphone14 and its 5G jio signals are consistent and i get 300Mbps speed anytime.
Now this raises doubts on my M34 phone. Is it defective or samsung is miselling the product?
M34 shows 5g for 5-10 mins and switches back to 4G lte+.
I tried all options on google but same result while iphones 5g is solid.
Any help to overcome this?
Note: Two different sims are used and interchanged and tested same result. So its not SIM fault.

Though M34 is dual SIM i have only jio SIM inserted in primary slot.
Maybe samsung device have less 5g bands .
And in your area that device fails to connect that signal.
Cheaper phone has cheaper modems that's why it happens, this gonna be same in 4g also cheaper phones will give lesser speed and network coverage
But in 4g it does show 4g , how cheap the phone may be. But here the phone fails to recognize (?) 5G signal at all. I have airtel postpaid as well. Same with it as well. Airtel thanksapp dont recognize this as 5g phone, though it is listed in their app.
Have F34, but no issues till. Maybe the phone is faulty, visit the samsung service centre.
Also, high end phones may have better signaling power, which I'm unaware of.
same issue on oneplus 12
Samsung's Exynos chipsets are famous for their inferior network reception thanks to their sub per modem & heating / thermal throttling
Ohh. Could be. But that bloody ( sorry) youtube reviewers, they never talked about it. Some of amazon reviews though say it i laughed at them saying "poor country chaps living remote and complaining " , flexing my metro lifestyle. 😞
I'm currently using the same.
Not faces that much issue that you were talking about.
Use Forcelte app for forceful 5g(nr only) connectivity.
quite interesting, are you using this app for 5g connectivity? how about 5G signal without this app in your phone?
1) first update your F34, M34 and phones.
<<My M34 is upto date >>
2) Then contact Jio or whatever Telco you have Incase you face issues. As this could be a server side technical problem too.
<< When i contacted jio the only answer is, indoors network might be weak check outdoor, even though i tell them that the same SIM putin iphone 14 gives good 5G , at the same indoors>>
3) Check the sim in other phones. This could be a sim problem too. I personally seen network issues completely solved by replacing sim modules
<< As mentioned above i tried the same SIM in M34 & iphone 14. It works perfectly in iphone. On M34, though manual/ jio says to use primary slot for 5G, i tried on both slots and it does mot work. I am only using jio sim in primary slot on M34 and the other SIM slot always empty>>
I am also facing the Same issue in REDMI NOTE 12 PRO 5G for 5G reception now-a-days in Jio Network.
5G Network fluctuates too much constantly. Speed is too bad

Samsung 1280 ( used in M34 and F34) and Exynos 2200 had a critical vulnerability in modems, discovered last year.

I heard Samsung disabled few features and most probably mitigated the issue in the latest updates.
So
1) first update your F34, M34 and phones.

Let me know if it solves the problem.
