now cheapest new mobile is poco c61 is 5500
why prices not slashed after 5g?

poco is promising 2 android updates and 3 years of security updates for c61. That is more than enough you are getting for ₹5500

I think prices of parts have increased now, and import duty imposed on a lot of these imports was hiked in 2018 and 2020 - though they have slashed it a bit this year. Also post covid inflation on almost all products. 3k in 2018 = 5k in 2024!
I'm still using my 2017 Micromax 4G phone as a hotspot. Cost around 4.5k. Total bang for the buck😄
