₹18,000 cr returned to banks from Vijay Mallya, Nirav Modi and Mehul Choksi:

The union government has informed the Supreme Court that ₹18,000 crore have returned to banks from Vijay Mallya, Nirav Modi, and Mehul Choksi, Hindustan Times reported.

The top court had earlier adjourned for 24 February a contempt case against former billionaire and fugitive businessman Vijay Mallya, granting him two weeks time as the last opportunity to appear before it personally or through counsel.

Mallya is wanted in India to face fraud and money laundering charges and remains on bail in the UK while a “confidential" legal process is completed.

It isn’t worse than trusting an illiterate politician plus1

You’re trusting the source of govt (w/ 40% of its representatives having criminal records) and even forcing others to trust, wonder why reading a tweet of Vijay malla bothering you?

When govt makes blunt statements like, banks got 18k crores from three financial fraudsters, then you got to trust atleast one with clarity (Even courts won’t disapprove claims of fraudsters, until if someone prices otherwise ofc)
