Yesterday, when I purchased the watch and installed the here by HDFC Ergo app, I granted permission to sync, and it successfully retrieved my walking data from my phone for that day.

Very difficult for normal (read office going) people to do 12 kms per day for 1 year, Probably those on road (sales etc job) or students might be able to do it every day for 1 year. Having said that, if anyone enrolls, please share your experiences here.
Couple of points to note-
(1) Month is not calendar month but rolling month starting from date of purchase
(2) Enrollment can only be done during purchase of Apple watch and not separately afterwards
Getting 10-15% Off on Apple Products is difficult, so if you want a discount if you walk minimum daily you can get some money back? Good deal for the people who want to buy already.
