My dad uses Max Cleaning Powder for Front load machine since last 1 year, which seems too very cheap. And does the descaling. You just need to be careful and not touching with hands. And I always measure 100 grams on scale and clean every 2 or 3 months. 

Thanks, bought one. My front load washing machine's drum broke 2 weeks back as I was not aware that descaling is important. I have a question though. How do we check if descaling is actually working or not, post using these tablets?

Local tablets costs approx 3 rs per piece and work well... By the way I did use it for the first time 2 months back and put 4 tablets initially. I could see hairs, threads coming out of pipe and was happy with overall results.
