Bro, you keep posting about your inability to give Karma. So let me tell you that the Karma system is designed in a way to avoid easy abuse. You can give Karma to the same user again only after having given Karma to at least 15-20 other users. There is also a daily limit in place. Unfortunately, some people still misuse the Karma system on a quid-pro-quo basis, but that’s a topic for another occasion.

My main intention for stating that I am unable to give karma was to let you know how much I appreciate the effort that you put to help others through channel alerts. I just want to let the person know that I really appreciate the post and wish I could give karma to him again and again.

Yes bro, I understand the system although I did not know about the need for giving karma to many other people before I can give you again though. So that’s for letting me know that.

I thought about suggesting this soon after joining DD but came to realize that people will misuse it by creating multiple accounts and then funneling the dimes in one account to redeem them. Unfortunately, that’s the mindset of the majority of users here.

As for me being a mod, I appreciate your feelings behind saying that, bro. But I do not want to be one. Simply because, as I understand it, being a mod comes with restrictions on what I can and can not say or do here.

Ah yes, that ‘with power comes great responsibility’ thing. I think we are better off with you not being a mod as we don’t want to lose you and have you go into another dimension like other mods and admin.

For the other suggestion, maybe we can use the mobile number as restriction for the abuse. And new account only gets 10 dimes so there is not much incentive for buying new sims and going through the trouble for only 10 dimes.

Also, mobile number would be mandatory to use this feature.

Desidime can create a wallet type feature where people can add money (dimes) to their account and pay throught netbanking, debit/credit, imps and other options like these wallets offer.

When a person wants, he can donate dimes to another member through this wallet. He can also make a recharge for the dimer since that person will already have the mobile number registered with desidime since it was mandatory.

It would be really cool to see this implemented.
