Theses are way too expensive. Even being branded. Last time I had purchased from ShopClues for just 150. They all work on fuse principle. Better to avoid.

I was also using those 150 until a spike in current killed my HDD, Speakers, etc. For 150 you will get power cord not surge protector. If you want surge protection go for Belkin, they observe extra current. BTW they even provide 15K-1L insurance to connected appliance

Why Paytm asking for otp… https://cdn2.desidime.com/assets/textile-editor/icon_evil.gif

The branded ones are very good in quality.. good quality materials. sockets are good.. have surge protection…never sparks when you insert any plugs or pull them.. plugs are kept tight in sockets .. they never let turn off the device even if you move the extension here and there..i am using belkin , gm and Philips.. all are very good. offline prices are high. u cant match the online prices..dont worry and go for online branded buy and u wont regret.

Purchased 6-pin belkin offline. Got awed by the bold statement of attached appliances insurance. Thought product must have some good quality. Mine turns out to be a faulty piece.

Half hoping contacted Belkin support. They asked for some photos and proofs and after some haggling refunded part of my loss. Not bad, I wasn’t expecting any. And I was given a fresh piece.

If you have any costly products, go for Belkin.

way too expensive. They are locking our funds in wallet. Also there are none with individual switches.

Surge protector extensions without USB ports are like dead stock.
DTH box come with HDMI cable. Investing 2k on a surge protector with coaxial cable is an expensive business.

@babbu Even those DTH Boxes with HDMI cable receive input in the form of Coax cable which needed to be grounded. Electric surge from this Coax cable can burn TV connected equipments including your stabilizer… I’m not saying you should buy this for every appliance in your home but if you have expensive appliance use good surge protector.

Surge protectors with USB only give output of 500mah. You would be better off without it.

what does 200 Joules means? Does it mean I should connect max 200 watt instrument? I want to connect my LED which takes 100 watt. Another surge protector I need for my Fridge which takes between 90-300 watt max. Please suggest.

@babbu said surge protectors without usb are dead stock.

You can use USB for charging but it will be ultra slow. Huntkey seems to have good reviews everywhere. But I would suggest Belkin as they give you lifetime warranty and attached product damage insurance also.

Anyone from chennai buying? We can each buy one and save money. I am interested in a 6 or 8 socket one.
