Info: Those who are blaming companies and banks for keeping Money and earning interest should first go and learn about Escrow and Current accounts. Interest by banks are given on savings account or fixed deposit or any other kind of depositing nature. No bank gives interest on current account and most of the online ecommerece companies have current account and credit limits.

All the eMoney that is travelling online on different eCommerce websites or anywhere else are managed under Escrow account and it yields no Interest at all

Then how come GIFT card sellers are giving discounts?

They work on commision purposes actually and when they give discounts, they give up on part of it. You can also call it a way to clear stock or increase sales or achieve targets.

Even the money we pay to ecommerce websites reach them after 3 days even though it is debited instantly from our account but it is never transferred to merchant before 3 days. Banks keep hold of it. It stays with the bank sundry account that transfers money after a timeline to merchants when successful receipts are presented to it.

So, how come merchants serve the orders. They are serving the request through their credit cards which has limits as per their current account limits.

Take Example: You recharged on PayTM with Rs. 100 and paid via Debit card. Now Rs. 100 is debited from your account but PayTM don’t receive the money instantly by bank. Bank has hold it and confirmed PayTM that they have hold the amount and will transfer to them after 3 days when PayTM will confirm that said order was processed. The money showing in your wallet has actually been debited from PayTM credit limit of current account and credited to your wallet. Now paytm is assured that they will receive the money later which you paid. So these are settled after 72 hours only.

In case a txn fails, PayTM or other merchant sends bank confirmation about it and then bank credit back the funds it hold to customer account. It takes 7-30 days depending on banks process. After 3 days for failed txn, this money is transferred from bank sundry acc. to reversal account which initialize the process of refunding back to customer.

This process is same all around the world.

Just bought Rs.2000 TC Max. card for Rs.1950 with Airtel Money. Rs. 195 CB came to AMoney acc. in a flash even before the payment page was yet to redirect to Chorclues. Bought from website and on Airtel Money page it shows coupons box wherein selected 10% offer which opens and asks to apply coupon AMSHOPCLUES. Though TnC says no need to apply coupon but still on payment page, it asks for so.

first time it asked coupon.. second this month no coupon… comes directly… also please note its 1 time per month… so ones last month… ones this month

Pls Note: Airtel not allowing to transfer cashback to bank before 72 hrs. This afternoon, I called CC and came to know there is a cool off period of 72 hours so that in case somebody cancels order on chorclues in between doesn’t misuse the cashback. But Airtel Money to other Airtel Money user was going through. As it wasn’t mentioned in TnC, so I called most intelligent people on Earth.

P.S- Did I told you it was the first time I bought something from chorclues for myself. Before that only JanSewa was going on and with bitter experience of faulty and old products which my Jana Dhana received, I was skeptical while purchasing from shopclues. But took risk as it was GCI the seller. Before that bought only from GCI website or Amazon.

While registering on edenred site,it says card not activated.

Today I have received card ordered through Amazon and registered on edenred site. Its Status is showing as Active, does it means i can use on Paytm to Add cash or do i need to wait?
