MI is dumping this overpriced mobile, the worst part is, I bought it in big billion sale thinking that will be best price for this calendar year but big billion lost all the credibility by dumping the price so soon.You get at less than 15k with exchange with right seller than the option you posted
getting 8/256 variant at Rs 12500 net after all discounts + cashback on flipkart axis + tecno camon 20 pro exchange (Rs 9150).
Is this a good upgrade for a better camera oriented phone? Bought tecno last year at 11k.
My budget is restricted to max 15k.

As per GSM Arena's review the main camera is impressive in it's price range but the ultra-wide and selfie ones are so-so. It's doppelganger Poco X6 was available for under 15k w/o any exchange drama during BBD but it's cams are decidedly inferior. Official support ends in January 2028. There's only a little custom ROM development as of now. Maybe it can be of help once official support ends. If you do buy it it's best to unlock the bootloader ASAP and re-lock it again in light of a (low credibility) rumor about Xiaomi stopping bootloader unlock even in global devices with Hyper OS 2.0 sometime next year. I don't have much faith in this rumor but best to exercise caution.
