Every other review over there saying it's a worthless phone
Redmi note phones are the best imo . Using their phones from past 6 years first was note 6 pro then 9 pro, now thinking to purchase 12 pro. Their longitivity and build quality are on par from other Chinese phones out there not facing any lag even after 3 years even though I have used my phone's capacity to fullest.
we have had Redmi 3, Note 4, Note 5, Note 8, A1 in our family & none of them lasted less than 4 years. yes you cant compare them with a Samsung S series but they are definitely better or on par with M/F series. their software gets lots of flack but that too is not worse than Oppo / Vivo.
Can't combine exchange and bank offers
is indisplay finger print?
Good at this price. With flpkart axis bank card cashback, final price should be 17,155₹
I personally don't see any other phone <18k, which is better than this.
Poco X5 pro
Probably the old phones were good but the new ones don't have the same quality and value for money factors like earlier. They kept flooding the market with too many models and confused customers unnecessarily. I'm myself using Redmi Note 4 since 2018 and it is going strong with Android 13 custom ROM even now. After news about Redmi Note 10 defects and Poco motherboard dead issues I don't have much trust in Xiaomi.
Redmi Note 4 is assured of A15! compatibility which requires 4.19+ kernel and is met. A16 is quite likely to bump up minimum kernel requirement to 5.x as 4.19 is being EOL'ed in December 2024 and although RN4 has been extremely fortunate in getting several aftermarket kernel upgrades the former is quite unlikely but you never know.

Same here, used RN5Pro and RN9ProMax each for 3 years with nearly maxed out usage, and they were the best bang for bucks. However, the newer RN series are becoming more and more expensive and yet with relatively lower build and specs upgrade. For example, even the RN12Pro+ variant costs a bomb and still uses UFS 2.2 and not 3.X
It's sad to see the downfall of RN series over time
