What is the past record of samsung in terms of updates in this price segment? Can they withstand their promise of 4 year of os upgrade
The only deal breaker is the processor but should be fine for people with light usage.

It is affecting every single OEM - Samsung, OnePlus, OPPO, realme, vivo, iQOO, Xiaomi, Motorola, Nothing, HUAWEI, and even Apple and whether high-end phone like Galaxy S Ultra or low end, after updates, this green line is coming. For phones under warranty, they may replace it for free but what after that? After say, 2 years, you must pay for screen replacement with no guarantee that it won't occur again.
In comparison, last year's M33 has LCD and is immune from this green line issues. But M33 LCD has sucky contrast/blacks, brightness is limited to 450 nits and no Always On Display (AOD) notifications. Hard to decide

I would buy a 12k oppo/realme device instead. My galaxy M30's screen died in under 2 years and i figured that just having Samsung in the name doesn't mean quality.
Samsung M33 had NFC though. Oppo/Realme omit NFC in Indian model. Don't know if M34 is going to retain NFC or they dropped it. But yeah design of M-series is outdated (for those to whom looks matter so much). To me, functionality and features come before appearance.
If you have to buy Samsung then best is S series and note only

bad display notch and horrible exynos processor, better to avoid it.
There are rumours that the F34 might use Dimensity 1080, like the A34. This Exynos, 1280, chipset has overheating issue and it is also weaker than the Dimensity.
It is possible that the F34's main camera might not have OIS. They have to cut corners somewhere.
One last thing, it might have a 7000 mAh battery which means it would be heavier.
From my end I am using f14.. till now No regrets..
In future I am not sure about screen and motherboard issues..
If it is lasts long worthy each penny.
I just ordered M14 for my sister. First seller from Flipkart didn't deliver. Gave refund. Now trying another seller. I will mostly get M34, which ironically which will be first Samsung device. While my family members all use Samsung, I used LG, Lenovo, Huawei and being a geek, tried all brands - Xiaomi, Oppo, Vivo, Realme, Pixel etc.
Does this have an actual proximity and light sensor at hardware level or virtual ones? I use an f23 Samsung and both these sensors are missing on it. It uses the front camera do adjust the brightness which never works properly
A34 has virtual proximity so high chance this one has same, but need to wait for more reviews

On the APay ICICI card, discount is capped at ₹395 on mobiles. So it is useless.
Thankfully I have other ICICI card also and SBI SimplyCLICK, both of them showed instant ₹2000 off so purchased with SBI, via CK (additional 0.5% discount on mobiles). I think as per recent de-valuation changes to SimplyCLICK, it no longer gives reward points during sales, otherwise it would have given 5x (1.25% accelerated reward points at least worth approx ₹237. Even if they give, they may reverse it at some point). Oh well.
I got the 8 GB model so 10%+0.5%=₹2000+approx ₹95=approx ₹2095 worth discount. Cost approx. ₹18900 (25W charger included). Any reward points SBI mistakenly gives will be bonus 😜 and subject to reversal any time.
I ordered the phone (6 GB variant) and the phone is expected to be delivered on 20th. The charger is slated to arrive on 21st. Thankfully, the charger part is official now. I was expecting a two-day delivery though. Used ICICI CC and CK.
Now to find a compatible back cover and screen guard.
