The standard warranty for battery and vehicle components covers the battery and vehicle components for 3 years or 40,000 kms, whichever is earlier. This warranty is for an additional period of 5 years and additional 40,000 kms on the battery only effective from 2nd February 2024, making the total warranty on the battery for 8 years or 80,000 km whichever is earlier. Please refer to your standard warranty manual set out in the owner’s manual for more details
As part of the base battery warranty, batteries will be replaced for any manufacturing/design defects caused faults or if battery health degrades during the warranty period
Warranty period is defined as the coverage till 8-yrs or 80,000 kms (whichever is earlier)
All retail customers getting delivery of their S1 or booking their S1 starting 2nd Feb’2024 will automatically be eligible for this warranty
All models delivered starting 2nd Feb 2024 are automatically eligible for this base warranty

Ya..I understand that e scooters , in general , have various issues.
Just wanted to inform our existing or potencial escooter buyers, regarding this 8 years warranty, so they can have proper comparison.
Eagerly waiting to see these ev's getting matured and reasonable priced.
S1X is around 90k including taxes on road. With 8 years 80k km battery warranty.
Insu can be added as per choice. This price is including fame II.
Offer getting over by 29th as per ola communication.
I think , this price is reasonable, considering competition.
But as you said, evs may need some more time to mature, as far as charging infra is concerned.
which e scooter is best to buy right now?
It depends upon lot of factors..basics are your city for after sales service availability, daily commute kms and then budget, features, brand value etc.

I would suggest, Vida V1 Pro for better. Ather and Ola are using Belts which causing issues. Checkout Vida's Mechanical Gearbox. also discount are available on amazon and FK can get onroad around 1.21 including everything.
Pros:
Battery can be charged anywhere remove and charge.
Pickup is great compared to other in same segment.
also Hub motor vehicles are actually not user friendly as they are wheel mounted.
Vida is IP68 Rated. highest in its segment.
Battery backup of vida is very poor.
All in all , ev is a headache for now. Avoid for peace of mind.
