Nope. They'll not. 2 year ago, a survey was conducted by Amazon whether Price should be increased of then ₹999 plan. Then it was increased to ₹1499. See, they added ads, only SD watching, No Prime Music and Games and MUCH MORE REMOVED in Lite Plan.

Least bothered about same-day or one-day shipping, live sports (currently limited to NZ matches in NZ) but concerning factor is this
No Ad-free & HD content
No way i am getting a paid subscription w/o ad-free content + the streaming quality is limited to SD. Many might still be happy with the streaming quality especially mobile app users but having a large 40"+ screen with SD is a bad combo). Depending on your priorities, 999 could feel a lot more than this prime lite deserve but again if you get prime just for free shipping, prime-specific offers and 5% cb with ICICI Apay (no Prime Video / Music streaming) then Prime vs Prime lite makes little to no difference.
