What is wrong with the refrigerator segment today? I have a 17 Years old Godrej Eon Double Door in good running condition, and I am in the market for the last 6 months to a buy a new one (on my mother and wife's insistence, as we have renovated the kitchen, if that's even a valid reason 
But, there are horrible reviews for every available brand. It looks like a lottery, if your new refrigerator turns put to be good to last even 5 years. Refrigerator purchase today looks like a ticket to stress and heart attack.
Is this the case with only the refrigerators or the entire consumer durable industry?
And, what we as consumers, spending our hard earned money can do to save ourselves from the Companies/market greed?
