I have used a 29" UltraWide before and it takes some getting used to.
- Do not get it if you are not willing to have 2 windows/app open side by side
- Do not get it if you are not comfortable with snapping windows using keyboard shortcuts or by dragging them to the sides. An UltraWide is most of the times too wide for a single window / app.
- Do not get it if you do not maintain over an arm's length from your body. Any closer and you will hurt your eyes and neck. Some people look at a monitor like they are zooming in to an image. This monitor is not for such people.
- Be willing to scale to 125% for better font size
Otherwise, it is a fantastic productivity enhancer. A 27" monitor is universal. It will suit almost everyone. A 29" monitor is not for everyone. A 32" is for even fewer people. The in-built speakers are handy for Webex/Zoom calls especially if you set up your laptop under the monitor and the laptop has dual mics. You will preserve your ears by not using you handset or earphones/headphones.
