I would not recommend Inkjet printer. I had one HP Deskjet printer. Colour cartridge stopped working after few months - it just prints only in green tone. I was using only for black. During covid19 time, I left it idle for nearly one year. Ink cartridge becomes dry, it seems. Also, print head got spoiled/dry. Tried using new cartridge; but printer didn't work at all - it just prints empty pages. Cartridge also doesn't give more prints. They say 120; but I got only 50 to 60. So, print per page is costly.
I got Canon Ink tank printer and using for nearly an year now. Occasional use and its good so far.

This one comes with an Automatic Document Feeder for scanning. if you have multiple pages to scan, this is the cheapest option.
I had around 500 pages that I needed to scan. I brought this some 2 years ago... I had an issue with the motherboard, and it was replaced by HP guys free of cost since that was under warranty.
