Before covid visited malaysia, Singapore, Bali, Thailand, Vietnam. Thailand went 2 times once before marriage. Then again Thailand and Vietnam after marriage. Never even thought about gng to Maldives. I don't know what's so special about Maldives. It's an Islamic country with lot of shitty rules.

Bruh a relative visited Lakshadweep a few years back and had outstanding experience.It's more value for money as well.There are a lot of things to explore in Andaman and Nicobar Islands too.Tbh Maldieves is an overhyped place,thanks to sponsored trips of celebrities & influenters and bogus reviews.

If it's a foreign destination you wanna explore,Seychelles,Mauritius,Philippines and Vietnam etc are way better than awful Maldives. Coming to budget,a lot depends on the duration and number of sites you are gonna explore.You can check packages online.

I feel its too early for this deal. PM just brought LKD into the conversation, its still not developed as a tourist destination, would take another couple of years. (this doesnt apply to all, some people actually like visiting raw places, but those are accompanied by logistical issues)

If someone is visiting immediately, no point in going there, better go to A&N islands.
