The P2422H has a USB upstream and 4 USB downstream ports. The upstream port is to connect your laptop to the monitor and the downstream ports are to connect peripherals (mouse, keyboard, charger etc). In short, it's like an In-built USB hub. Good for reducing clutter or avoiding connecting peripherals to your laptop. There are pricier monitors with a USB C hub.
That's a killer feature since that let's you avoid the HDMI + charging connection for your laptop!
