Ok. There are many people who still prefer cash as mode of payment either they don’t have or Don’t use cc/ dc. Or don’t spend much because their money isn’t “white money” and they don’t want those transactions to show up in their bank account… So luring them with ₹1000( or 20%) cashback is a genius move.
Amazon cares more about their business growth than yearly profit.
They have been doing this from last 18-20 months.
I have been cash-loading from Oct’17. For the first 4-5 months, they used to give 500 rs cb on 2500 rs load. Then they reduced it to 50 rs.
They just want cash in their system. Nothing else.
