RuPay planning to grab approx 60% Credit card issuing market share like debit card.
NPCI already revealed that NPCI will going to launch RuPay credit card from all CC issuing banks.

Within the next decade you will see a rise in RuPay credit cards issuing.

I have also heard that the bank earns more on classic and premium segment credit cards. That’s why RuPay first focus on classic and premium segment credit cards and also focus on co-branded credit cards.

I think tokenisation will also help RuPay to accept all online merchants in India because currently merchants need PCI DSS and card processing companies certification to saved your card. After tokenization merchant will not save your card and payment gateway companies will handle your card tokenization.
