Gurgaon / Mumbai: With consumer preference for digital payments growing steadily over the last several years, Axis Bank, in collaboration with Google Pay and Visa, on Monday launched the ACE Credit Card.
The card is designed for the growing base of users keen to participate in the digital economy.
Payments for essential use cases like mobile recharges, bill payments made via Google Pay earn users 5% in cashback. Users also get 4%-5% cashback for spends made on daily use categories such as food ordering, online grocery delivery, cab rides for transactions made on partner merchants’ platforms such as Swiggy, Zomato, BigBasket, Grofers and Ola. There is also an unlimited 2% cashback on all other transactions, making it one of the most rewarding credit cards in its segment*.
The ACE Credit Card is aimed at bringing a seamless, digital experience to users, starting from application to issuance, with the entire user journey for the credit card application being completed digitally. Users will be able to get cashback directly into their ACE Credit Card accounts.
The tokenization feature enabled in partnership with Visa, will allow Google Pay users to use their ACE Credit Card to make payments through a secure digital token attached to their phone without having to physically share their card details.
Commenting on the launch, Sanjeev Moghe, EVP & Head, Axis Bank Cards & Payments said: “We have been continuously working on innovation-led partnership models to offer digital banking solutions to customers. In this effort, we are delighted to have collaborated with Google Pay and Visa to launch the ACE Credit Card, one of the most rewarding credit cards in its segment, that not only offers exclusive benefits and rewards, but is also designed to suit the needs of the users who want to participate in the digital economy, offering frictionless onboarding and usage experience. This collaboration and product construct will help us widen our footprint through Google Pay and broaden credit card penetration, contributing to our commitment towards the vision of Digital India and the country’s evolution to a less-cash society”.
Ambarish Kenghe, Senior Director – Product Management, Google Pay added, “We are excited to work with Axis Bank and Visa, to build on our efforts to bring helpful new features and products to our users. With ACE Credit Card, we are bringing a seamless application experience that is designed keeping the needs of users in mind. We’re hopeful that this simplicity will bring even more users into the fold of digital payments, and help more users get access to credit. Users will start seeing the ‘Credit Card’ option in their Google Pay app as we start rolling this offering out across India. We will continue to refine the product as we get inputs from the users.”
Commenting on the launch, TR Ramachandran, Group Country Manager, Visa, India & South Asia said, “Consumer attitudes towards credit cards are fast changing. This, combined with the large headroom that exists for expanding credit access and affordability, represents a significant opportunity. Today’s digital first consumers expect simple, secure and intuitive payment experiences from credit cards – from application to issuance and transactions to rewards, and in online, in-app or in-store environments. We are excited to partner with Google Pay and Axis Bank to launch the ACE Credit Card, to enable secure, convenient and compelling product experiences for today’s customer.”

Their is no fee for first year right?
Better to switched from Axis FK card to this card ? considering
1) No offer on axis card in flipkart even during BBD
2) Popularity of UPI, we can easily pay to lower merchant with this card with 2% discount
I too feel like same, no good offers for axis flipkart from almost a year. Hard to spend 2L in a year only with Flipkart, Myntra. Is it better to switch to this ACE card? Dimers, pls give your views.
@A2Zdeals @abhishek012 @Simbha3
2% on all other spends is far better than 1.25%. Not sure how’s the cashback will be credited for ACE card
“There is no limit on earnings of cashback on the Credit Card.”
Unlimited cashback for utility bill payments?
This seems a pretty good card; a true rival to Apay CC
My Flipkart axis card rejected, any chance of approval for this.
This seems to be good card.. shit just one month back I got fk axis card..
i am sure, they will extend the offer to 31st March.
You can try then.
More info about the card

Now Axis will see how many customers close existing FK card and get this one…..
haha yes, 2% cb on all other spends is the biggest breakthrough
Anyone know what is the process to switch from one variant to other in axis? Do we need to do complete application process?
There is cc upgrade link in axis app.. Though its not showing anything to me
I too placed a additional card request. Already hold a flipkart axis card. As no joining fee for ACE card, will analyse both and close one which I find useless after 1 year.
PM me the referral link if there is any benefit @abhishek012
Is the CC taking request? The guy I got connected to is asking me to apply on Google pay
The CC are ill informed. If you are holding existing Axis card for more than 3 months then only they taking the application through phone else one needs to apply either online or via branch. In case of a fresh application also they told to apply either online or via branch
5% or 2% or no cash back for insurance payment?
Cashback shall not be eligible for following spends/transactions on the card,
o Fuel Spends
o EMI transactions
o Purchases converted to EMI post facto
o Wallet loading transactions
o Cash advances
o Payment of outstanding balances
o Payment of card fees and other card charges
so insurance payments should fetch 2%
The ACE card offers several cashback benefits, including unlimited cashback of 2% on all transactions, excluding EMIs, cash withdrawals, fuel purchase and wallet loading. It has more rewards for customers paying for essential spends. For instance, currently there’s a 5% cashback on recharges and bill payment transactions, including electricity, internet, gas, and mobile recharge, made through Google Pay.

If my personal ITR is low, but i open a new Savings Account with Axis bank with a big initial amount, will there be good chances of getting automatic approval for this Axis ACE card ?
They may offer you better options.
After 6months of acquiring an Axis CC,
