Just an important update - Bob acc allow total 3 physical RuPay platinum debit card + 1 virtual RuPay platinum debit card.

Some people already used total 4 RuPay platinum debit cards (3 physical + 1 virtual).

Note - Virtual card is free but physical card Rs295 charges per card

Karnataka Bank MAB is just ₹500 without chequebook. No online account opening option but just 1 visit did it! They directly opened account on the tablet by asking me info, I didn't have to enter anything in any form, no paper forms to fill. Then gave me insta kit with Visa card but since I wanted RuPay Platinum, they gave me another ATM card application form. RuPay card arrived at my home address after the normal time it takes (a week or two, no shortage crap like Public sector banks). Could activate it via self-registration for mobile and net banking.

Btw if you have Indian Overseas Bank account, they also have RuPay Platinum card for Rs.150+GST (₹177). Since April 2022, IOB's mobile app "IOB Mobile" lets you directly request debit card of your choice like BOB World lets you do. It arrives at branch (mine arrived in just few days/15 days or so), has to be activated by branch staff or via internet banking but you can activate it at ATM also. RuPay Platinum Amazon offer working fine. It is also a vertical debit card like Karnataka Bank and is compatible with Pulse, Discover and Diners Club International.

I have central bank rupay platinum which was issued while opening sb account 5 years ago. 

Karnataka bank i surrender old rupay & get new Rupay platinum looking like the image above. 

Funny thing all new rupay platinum cards were despatched from manipal. ( same 3rd party card provider.) .  CUB also  got new  rupay platinum looking like karnataka card design.

Nb; Any one able to pay hyderabad electric bill via Amazonpay? Not working. 

I have never been able to pay hyderabad southern electric bill amazon pay. I pay usually via kotak Or axis with no benefit ad reminder comes through tem. ( but no auto pay) 

Bob I hold a physical rupay platinum. But digital catd i tried to generate. But it was visa. So disabled it. 

Same story in idbi. I hold rupay play physical card ( ₹1 lakh amb) but digital card was visa. So i disabled it. Federal bank idiots ( expiring rupay platinum) last week sent me renewal debit visa platinum 😗

Cub : I have not checked Whether they are debit fees for debit card. I hold above average balance anyway. 

Got 1 more RuPay Platinum: New India Co-operative Bank. Opened Suvidha account offline at branch. 0 Balance but they charge for chequebook since 1st July but gave me special concession since I had opened before 1st July. RuPay Platinum  card arrived recently. Charges Rs.100+GST. Worked for Amazon offer. Card arrives at home address. Can be activated online instantly by setting PIN. This bank does not support IMPS/UPI so you can only add money via NEFT but their card network works. App and website is really slow.

And 1 more (yes I want to be @abhishek012 and @equalizer's best friend, 🤣 just kidding). IDFC First Vishesh account RuPay Platinum. This account is only for rural customers but for some reason beyond me, the sales manager was somehow super nice, super kind to me at my IDFC branch. He fought with backend team to force them to open Vishesh account for metro customer. No idea why. Maybe because I told them I will have FDs there of significant amount and already have loan accounts with no outstanding amount (Amazon Pay Later, Flipkart Pay Later, Ola Money PostPaid, Mobikwik ZIP - all from IDFC). AMB ₹5000 but debit card is completely free just like HDFC SavingsMax debit cards. Account opened offline at branch but directly on tablet, otherwise can open via paper form also at branch. Card arrives home in a few days, no chip shortage issue. Activate online after internet banking/mobile banking self-registration, and change e-commerce transaction limit. Worked instantly for Amazon offer.

Can we use our parents' RuPay Platinum on our Amazon accounts if they don't even have an Amazon account but have a RuPay Platinum DC? 😆

NSDL cards not working 😌

Tried one Indian Overseas Bank RuPay Platinum with my parents' Amazon account. It is showing but discount not showing. Bin is 6522. Card just added today. Of course this is a different problem than some cards not showing at all due to them being detected as credit cards. The clown who handles this at Amazon needs to be fired. Every Friday there is some new problem - offer broken, cards misdetected as cc, payment gateway broken.

Relax guys. They can't "unsupport" so many MAJOR bank cards like IDFC, Indian Bank, SBI JCB, Canara, Union JCB,  AU and others. I am already in talks with RuPay Twitter and they are working with Amazon to fix the blocked BINs.

Checked add to balance now, even HDFC Millennia DC is not spared, something seriously wrong.

Can anyone tell me on which date this nonsense started exactly on Amazon detecting debit cards as credit cards? Was it on Friday of 29th July or before that?

We will know by coming 1 st Friday of August (5-8-22) which card works and which is not. Last month Canara did not work during 1st Friday but it worked next Friday. 

The pattern is some cards are disabled on Friday of each week, use what's available and try next Friday for the remaining.

It is now becoming my conviction that this is done purposefully by Amazon.
