I have 8 GVs in my first account. All ordered before 11:50 AM. None of them have been cancelled. The 7 GVs in my other account are also still active.
Besides, as someone mentioned, the GVs remain usable even if you do get the order cancellation email.

Got Cancellation mails, but used the GCs way before that.
They still have the authority to not process the orders whose GC stands Cancelled.
