My laptop has a weird issue.
My laptop's backslash / key gets continuously pressed whenever i open the lid.
And it stops only when i manually press any other key. I have already tried uninstalling keyboard drivers from device manager.
Now i am puzzled if it is a software issue or hardware.

dust under key is the reason.
try plucking key and clean dust at bottom surface of key button.
alternatively you can vacuum keyboard using vacuum cleaner.
Try cleaning under the key if feasible, otherwise replacement is the only option.
It looks more like a hardware issue than the software.

but it occurs only when i open the lid and until i press any other key. if it is dust under the key, it wouldnt be selectively pressed.
Have you tried cleaning/vacuuming it?
Other possibility would be you laptop battery under keyboard getting swelled and making casing of laptop expand towards keyboard side which in return press button by bottom force of expansion.
Hardware issue ... Clean it ipa
It's Hardware issue. Clean it if doesn't resolve need to replace.
