Samsung Galaxy Watch4, Watch5, and Watch6 finally get Blood Pressure and ECG support in India
I had posted on a number of Watch4/5 deals in DD forums that the Blood Pressure and ECG support are disabled in India with no word from Samsung on enabling future support. That greatly reduced the value-for-money proposition for those watches.
Looks like Samsung was listening and they have finally decided to add support. I need to test this out myself tonight but I am excited since I have given it to my Dad who is a senior citizen.

Update : The Wear / Wearable app that one needs to use to update the watch isn't opening at all on the phone (S22 Ultra). It crashes or hangs. Cleared cache to no avail. Don't want to reinstall. Shall wait for a fix / update from Play Store. Recent reviews have complained the same.

I'd been using both BP and ecg using the modded apks. Official results seem consistent.
Too bad (good?) that I don't have any heart issues to say this is of any use to me at the moment 😅
Definitely good, I say. Heart issues often come out of nowhere. So this is sort of an insurance policy.
It needs samsung phone compulsorily?
Is there any method of getting bp and ECG for Samsung active 2 watch? Would definitely help me, cos I am a BP patient and have slight variations in ECG. Please help me
@LIMBO thank you. I already have beurer BP monitor. I thought of monitoring my BP levels every 1 hrs, so I asked for watch. Thanks for your detailed explanation.
Picking old thread.....
Is BP ECG support enabled in India on Samsung watches?? @dexter_greycells @DimeDude @LIMBO
If yes which brand/model are the options within 10k budget. Thanks in advance
Yes it was officially enabled in the 6 series sometime last year. It was also supposed to be enabled in 4 and 5 series but no idea if has happened or not.
That's Great. We will be waiting for updates man. Thank You.
