Xiaomi’s Redmi Note 12 series is now available in India after its launch at 12 noon today, 5 January 2023. This Redmi Note series comes with three smartphones, the Redmi Note 12, Note 12 Pro, and Redmi Note 12 Pro Plus. In the launch event, Xiaomi compared their Redmi Note 12 Pro+ with the likes of the iPhone 14 Pro, Motorola Edge 30 Ultra and even a professional-grade DSLR camera worth ₹7,00,000! Although we just can’t say that its camera setup is actually as good as what Xiaomi has claimed, the Xiaomi Redmi Note 12 Pro+ is definitely one of the best camera phones under Rs 30,000 in India. It comes with the latest MediaTek Dimensity 1080 chipset.

Considering the base price of 30K, the Redmi Note 12 Pro+ may not be that exciting. The specs and the overall experience of the phone would be good but this price tag seems to be a bit higher. What do you think?

Now speaking of the specifications, the Xiaomi Redmi Note 12 Pro Plus leaves no stone unturned. It has a powerful processor, 200 MP primary camera with OIS, and a beautiful AMOLED 120 Hz display. But the wide-angle camera of 8 MP is still a big let down for many.

Priced at Rs 17,999 the Xiaomi Redmi Note 12 mobile phone seems a bit overpriced and MI fans may not be happy with this decision from the brand.

The Redmi Note 12 5G mobile phone is the cheapest phone from the Note 12 series that holds great value for the price sensitive Indian smartphone users. The Xiaomi Redmi Note 12 is one of the first phones to be launched with the latest Snapdragon 4 Gen 1 processor. Also, the Note 12 5G comes with an AMOLED 120 Hz display, which is another highlight of this phone.

And, the big battery of 5000 mAh seems quite big and paired with the MIUI, it would give a great battery life to the users.

Considering the specifications, the Redmi Note 12 5G seems to be a bit overpriced. We have always known Xiaomi for its pocket-friendly prices and now that the Note 12 costs more than ₹15,000 it’s really difficult to see the brand in the same way.

Also, the brand continues its ‘number of cameras’ game with its 8 MP wide angle camera that will be available in India only.

The Xiaomi Redmi Note 12 Pro costs Rs 24,999 which again, may not be appreciated by tech enthusiasts.

Though, the camera of this smartphone looks promising too with a 50 MP OIS sensor that would give great results in low light conditions. Also, it comes with a 67W charger in the box and a 5000 mAh big battery. The processor in the Note 12 Pro is the same as the Note 12 Pro+, the MediaTek Dimensity 1080. So in terms of camera and overall performance, the Redmi Note 12 Pro may not be that far behind the Note 12 Pro+.
