Hi all, I was using yes bank wellness credit card which had membership fee of INR 750 plus GST and I paid the joining fee of same amount when the credit card was issued to me. I completed one year on this card and now the renewal charges are applied for second year in my current statement but now I do not want to continue this credit card for second year now customer service is forcing me to pay the renewal charges and then they can take the request for closure of card. So can anyone suggest me what should be the next course of action ?

I had same incidnt with axis and hdfc.... i wrote mail after a denial from cust. Care (verbly), writing a mail, copy paste from chatgpt worked. Fee waived off.
You can request for waiver but cannot close the card while any amount is due. You should have closed it before the fee was charged
