My phones battery has swollen. So I visited a service center for replacement. Before visit I had checked their website. Battery replacement cost was showing 699 and additional service charges.
At service center they told it will cost 3500. After I told them about website pricing , them came down to 3250.
I contacted Xiaomi Support online. Online support too told it is 699+ service charges 350. I asked support to raise a complaint for this. He told without job sheet he won't be able to register a complaint. Service center person was adamant on 3250 even after showing her all the chats I was having with online support. I argued that your website, online support, even the price menu on their service center wall has mentioned it 699.
After around 30 mins of conversation, online support told me to submit the device and take job sheet, share it with them. As I don't need to pay instantly I agreed. She took the phone, opened back panel to check the battery condition , noted the serial numbers and gave back the phone with semi open back panel condition along with job sheet.
Now when I reached home, I see phone isn't detecting any sim. I guess, they have knowingly or unknowingly damaged the Sim flex cable.
Guys suggest me how can I proceed further.

The point of sale was amazon, in replies they said contact brand as after sales service brand is responsible

I haven't tried it personally but the Xiaomi Service+ app has an option to book a service online. It also shows the old price though.
I booked appointment online for poco x3 pro and reached service centre. Was waiting for like half an hour but no one called my name and when i informed them about the appointment i booked they told me i have to write my name manually on the register on their desk, they didn't have any information about online appointments.
It's a service center issue. I had replaced battery without any issues at 699.
Exactly! They are a different kind of fraud. I stopped using Xiaomi devices because I didn't get satisfactory service.
which company now give satisfactory after sales service?
Hardly service canter care can charge max 1500rs battery replacement. Some Xiaomi service centers are not authorized & tie up with third party service providers. Xiaomi has lost its phone market after so many motherboard failure due to quality issues.
Update 1:
Service center has reported to back end team that they asked Rs.3500 for replacement of battery and PCB. 😄
From when Xiaomi is replacing PCB at this lower cost? I asked back.
Executive who was on call, had no answers.
He tried to do a conference call with area manager and me , but area manger didn't pick the call.
