In the late 1990s and early 2000s, many worldwide experts and advisers had wrongly predicted that India would become a superpower or at least top 3 powerful countries by 2025.

Top 3 powerful countries at present:

1. U.S.A.

2. People's Republic of China

3. Russia

So, India becoming developed by 2050 seems far from possible looking at current scenarios.

We are supremely developed in corruption, boot licking, and lack of principles/standards anyway. And as long as we have those the development you speak of will never materialise.

(And not just in being number one in having most marital rapes, without laws to prevent or punish them. Not just in being number one in the count of 'most' polluted cities.
Not just number one in having most farmer suicides, student suicides.. the data of which is not even allowed to come out.
