Need train tickets booked worth about 4k urgently for a relative's family and looking for cb options...
I'm aware of smartbuy and have hdfc mill.cc and mill.dc so here's some discount
Also, does amazon trains have some scope of discount if paid by apay icici?
Also have sbi cb card, can it be used in some way?
Does amazon trains allow gv balance for payment?
Any other options? But, I wish to stick to known ones like smartbuy and amazon...

I have booked tickets earlier on Amazon with gv balance, mind you amazon (any other website) will have extra charges on top of what irctc charges.
If the amount is less than best is too book via IRCTC and pay via UPI.
If amount is high (3AC/2AC) then 5% gv discount will be higher than the charges levied so overall can get some discount.
Service/handling/internet fee?

I Use smartbuy for booking train ticket as it gives 5% cashpoint when paid using hdfc dc/cc, and no smartbuy fee is levied
But when u pay using cc it will adjust around 2 % after settling.
So I would suggest pay via dc.
Cashpoint will come in/under 90 days with validity of 90 days only

The best option is always HDFC SmartBuy with any HDFC DC or CC. CC is supposed to add a surcharge of 1.8% + GST after settling but for many months now I haven't seen that. So, not only you are paying lesser than what you would on IRCTC, you are also get 3X the reward points / 5% cashback.

You can book train tickets with Amazon pay gift card balance. You can buy Amazon pay gift cards @ 5% with sbi cashback card.
