We started doing this as part time…. with our existing job…… for about a year…..

Little about me….. I have done my mechanical engineering post which I was working as a production engineer…. then went to UK to do my MBA and came back and started working as a Management Consultant for 5 years

Little about Admin – Did his computer science engineering from India then went to US for his Master in Computer science, worked there for 4 years before returning to India

Was there some point of time in your life when you 2 felt that u should have stayed in that job? US life and $ salary is different. How did you find motivation in the early stages. Now its understandable from the revenue earned through featured deals, google ads, paid promotions, etc.,

Desidime must have been a self funded startup and also running costs would have been low during the initial stages(as it is an information sharing forum and no goods are sold and deals fulfilled). Only full time moderation of posts is required at that initial stage (some telephonic work for affiliate and referral programs, advertisements, etc).

Leaving a full time job paying lakhs of rs as salary to start own business really takes some guts

They already had mentioned that they made it a part time, until the revenue was good.

We really started working on it since september…… and thats when we began our real journey…

We started doing this as part time…. with our existing job…… for about a year…..

we could not do it together…… so first Admin quit his Job…. and came back to India…. I continued working as management consultant…. so that at least some money can come in…… after which at one point we decided that we will be able to pull of ….. and thats whn even i quit….
